Hi -- I'm happily using a HD install of Knoppix built sometime in May, but thought I'd download the 7/26/03 build to give it a whirl. The CD I produced was beyond buggy; I'm sure I got a corrupted ISO.

The only broadband download access I currently have is at a university computer lab full of Macs running OS9.2 (well, these are the only machines that have CD burners). Does anyone know if there a way to perform a checksum on the downloaded ISO on this platform? (None of the Mac people I asked knew what I was talking about . . .)

Thanks for any insights!

I am not sure if there is a way to do a check on the iso before burn on a mac but you can check the CD after the burn by using the "cheat code" testcd. when you first boot just put "knoppix testcd" and it will run a MD5 on itself.

good luck,
Duffin
