Booting Fron CD

Hope someone can help. When i boot from cd everything is ok til just after the detecting harware part when my monitor shuts down into standby mode asif i have powered down.
My system is
Athalon 1Ghz
384 mb ram
Nvidia FX5200 128
Cable modem
Dvd Drive
Yamaha cdrw
Sounblaster Live

I have also tried to install Debian from cd to no avail

Any help would be appreciated

Have you tried the cheat code (http://www.knoppix.net/docs/index.php/CheatCodes) knoppix noddc at the boot: prompt? Knoppix sometimes has problems with the detection of some monitors. You may also want to put xmodule=nv on the line for your video card as well.

That has not worled either :cry: Plus My system does not want to install Linux of any version on my spare HD. Think it could be a problem with my graphics card. :roll:
