I get to the screen with tux on the top. It runs commds, first lins pass, then the second stage begins and it stops with the last line reading something about a kernel error. what is the problem? i am new to linux. the only file I put on the cd was the one .iso

I'm not really sure what your problem is, but I just wanted to let you know that i got my 600M up and running just fine with Knoppix (so it is possible). It sounds like you got a bad iso. I had to download it a couple of times before I got it working. There is some kind of checksum thing you can do to check if you got a good download, but I'm not sure how that works (try searching the forum). BTW - once I got my 600M up and running, I quickly found out that Intel is NOT supporting their centrino 802.11b chip with linux drivers, so you're SOL in that department... Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
