Hi,
1) would be VERY nice if (when booting from Knoppix CD) on F1 screen
will be listed all possible options (or just add additional screens F1-10 with other usefull info -> i.e. how to do easy hdd-install .. and other tips relevant for particular releases of knoppix).
Example of nonlisted options: single, testcd

2) If I remeber corretcly RedHat (or Slackware??) boot/rescue floppy had VERY nice option root=/hdxx. This option specified which partition should be mounted as root.
- very usefull especially after installation of any linux distro if you
forget or you cannot create boot floppy or if yor HDD boot manager
in MBR has bad day and need to be reinstalled :)

Is something like that available in Knoppix CD ?? Didn't find ...

Regards, Seth.

PS: Knoppix is #1 8)

--I suggested this to Klaus a long time ago, the problem is that there is no more space on the boot-floppy image for it.

--You can use root=/dev/hdx, it's a kernel parm.
