View Full Version : Cannot play audio cdroms?

I can mount and read data cdroms, but cannot play audio cds.

Was advised to check alsamixer, but I really don't know what I am looking for here.

Also ran this command

Have you tried?:

adduser knoppix (or username) audio

use kscd to play audio cds.
its in multimedia > sound

Agreed, and make sure that your "CD Volume" is turned up using something like aumix.

Not familiar with aumix, but I played around with the settings and got the audio to play.
