install knoppix on hd

hi all

i found a old notebook in the seller. but this notebook cannot boot from cd rom. now i'm thinking to put knoppix on the harddrive instead of load it from the cd.

ist there any posibillity to extract the iso image on the harddrive and make it bootable, instead of burn it to a cd.

note, i have a cable to connect the notebook harddrive to a desktop computer.
