Hi,

I have to boot my Knoppix-CD from floppy*.
I want to install some additional programs and conf-files and therefore need space on the floppy (in particular inside miniroot.gz).

Scince I don't have any SCSI-device i deleted all files in /modules/scsi/ and turned of SCSI-autodetection by giving the kernel-parameter.

When booting from that disk, copying some files from /KNOPPIX/etc to /etc fails due to lack of disk-space. (error-messages appear on the console)

After displaying the messages that the init-process is being given control, the system seems to freeze.

Any idea how to remove some or all modules from the bootdisk?

*No hdd, very old BIOS

Thanks in advance,
