vmware full screen

I installed vmware on my own knoppix-version and it works only the full screen option doesn't work, it shows just some rubbish on my screen, while it works perfectly with the same version on my RedHat system. This problem must be related to some vmware log-lines I get (only when full screen does not work, the ones with ">>"):

(I have this problem on all three machines I tried...)

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to solve this problem?

i get the same problem.. one post i read on vmware's site, is possibly to reduce your bpp from 24 down to 16. I've done that, and still have the problem.

There was another idea to look for.. something about loading the extmod module in XF86Config file. and commenting out a line that had the word omit in it. sorry for missing a lot of the info here, my mind is tired and i'm just about to get to bed. I've been trying to figure this out for the past week. so far nothing. :( vmware does work in normal-non-fullscreen though.
