Those were the last word....:?
I've hd-installed knoppix long time ago.
I decided to install the last version of ImageMagick.
I've downloaded ...it said that it required upgrade of
several libraries...I said OK apt-get will take care...
The apt-get install was smoothly working until it said that
he needs to restart the cups.....
I try to kill ...nothing
I shutdown the machine....everything went smoth...
but now the machine doesn't boot!
It starts everything ok...load modules, etc.
but then it stops the booting process...
I enter with the knoppix cdrom and take a look at the log files....
no clue!
I'm sending the last lines of the booting message:

it looks like a serialport prob, try in a root shell setserial /dev/ttyS0 autoconfig and for the other port too setserial /dev/ttyS1 autoconfig
