custom cd

I had prepared a bootable cd using knoppix remastering howto but the cd didn't boot . No error messages displayed. cd not readable from cd-rom.
Are there some steps in copying the boot.img and boot.cat?
Please help.

check the packages that u have removed and also see to it that u have followed all the steps correctly.
