Problema con hdinstall

He probado Knoppix 3.2 , y estoy maravilado con la joya.

El problema me ocurrió usando hdinstall, todo iba bien hasta la entrada de root y login, el sistema se paró y no tuve más remedio que reiniciar...

Lo puedo recuperar con el CD de Suse, pero no es lo mismo.

Debian recuperado se comporta magnificamente, pero apena deja tocar las configuraciones, al utilizar el kernel de Suse.

He podido usar las contraseñas, no arrancó lilo, pero tampoco lo había configurado....

Help!
