KONSOLE QUESTION

First off thanks to every1 who helped me get this to work on both of my computers. Now for my question

Im taking a class in school about RedHat Linux and when we go into the console we start off in the root directory. But when i go to the console with Knoppix I start in knoppix directory. I would like to start in the root directory. If any1 could help me it would be appreciated.

P.S. Knoppix is crazy. All that stuff on 1 small peice of plastic. Technology is crazy these days.

Just type in
cd / [enter] to get to the root directory. You can type
pwd [enter] to see what directory you are currently in, and type
cd .. [enter] to move up a directory (that's 'cd [space] [dot][dot][enter]').

yeah I know those commands. but is there any way to get to the root directory of harddisk or is it impossible because its u\sing ntfs
