Hi,
While i was trying to install knoppx 3.2 (which was on the Dutch computer magazine PCM (oct 2003)) i was getting the same error over and over..
stuff like
cloop: error -3 uncompressing
block 10007 65536/0/31749/0 233834657 - 233866406 end request
i/o error, dev f0:00
(cloop), sector 1280920
etc
which leads to a kernel panoc: no init found
Tried the cd on a amd xp2000 and no probs.
My old pc is a k6 300, 128 mb, 1,2 gig. The cd-rom player is an old burner. A hp 7100i. End of 1997 produced. It does not support cd's bigger than ~650 mb.
So i think that is the problem, or not? The player/burner does not support this 700mb cd.
So what are my options now?
Is there a possibility that the image is splitted in 2 cd's or making it smaller?
Or is there an older and smaller version?
There isn't much room left on the hdd. 400mb max.
Or maybe gnoppix?
Any suggestion is welcome!
Martijn.
