Hello All!
I just came to know about Knoppix and find it very interesting, and think as if a landmark in the Computer Scienc history. By highly inpressed by this work, i and my friends have decided to make a cd bootable linux distribution in our native language. In the first phase we intent to include applications related to the normal user such as word pad, paint brush, email and internet support, open office support , printing support etc. In this regard, there are two options 1) either to start from scratch or 2) to give native language support in the knoppix.

I need serious comments and help from ppl over here so as to how i can we can start our work on this. Please give me help and suggestions in detail so as i can pick up what u intend to say. We are 5 people doing bachelors in compuetr science...so we have some priliminary knowledge abt coding and stuff like that.

waiting for an encouraging response.
Regards
Adeel

Simply do a remaster and use only packages in the language you want. There is no reason to start from scratch. Many people have done this already for their languages. Check here: http://www.knoppix.net/docs/index.php/KnoppixCustomizations. Always read before asking questions. Most questions are already answered on this forum.
