"pump -i eth0" works, great!

how do i get it to load automatically when I turn my machine on?!

Assuming you are doing this with an installed version of Knoppix open /etc/init.d/bootmisc.sh in a text editor and add that line to the end of it. Save it and then it will be automatically run when you boot up.
