Hi,
Installed 'beep' app, using 'apt install beep' as root,
with no errors. Launching this app fails, generating the
following dialog:




/knoppix# beep
beep: Error: Running as root under sudo,
which is not supported for security reasons.
beep: Error: Set up permissions for the pcspkr
evdev device file and run as non-root user instead.


/knoppix# modprobe -a snd-pcsp pcspkr
modprobe: WARNING: Module snd-pcsp not found in directory /lib/modules/5.10.10-64
modprobe: WARNING: Module pcspkr not found in directory /lib/modules/5.10.10-64
root@Microknoppix:/home/knoppix#


knoppix@Microknoppix:~$ beep
beep: Error: Could not open any device
knoppix@Microknoppix:~$




Any comments or suggestions regarding this aborted
'beep' launch, thanks?
