Hello,
I have used also older versions of knoppix which worked correctly, but i became aware of problems with my graphics-card when i tried to run knoppix 3.3. With the 2 versions from 24-09 and the one from 03-11 i had the same problem ... In expert mode i did see it recognized my card correctly as a ati rage128 compatible but the xserver can't start, after it tries to start it seems to crash directly again and am i in console mode again. After a while it tries out other xservers but those also fail till the last x-server just plainly crashes and i can't use X at all
... in fact i have an "ati xpert 2000" card.
Are there maybe boot options i can try to make knoppix 3.3 run also on my system ? ... Or do i have to get a newer graphics card?
i also run a normal Debian unstable on my HD and in here i have no problems with X ... But this is Xfree86 4.2 i believe
