New guy wirelss question.

Hello penguin fans,
I am considering buying an orinoco gold or silver pcmcia card for use with knoppix. My orinoco gold usb adapter does not seem to work with knoppix, espec. airsnort/kismet, etc. Does anybody have any experience with this sort of thing or can you reccomend a card?

If you can get your hands on one definately get an Orinoco Gold card.
It will work perfectly with all the WiFi goodies: Airsnort, Kismet etc.
I run a WiFi website (http://albanywifi.com) and many of us are Knoppix/Knoppix-STD users and all run Gold cards with great success.

I can verify what r00t 4orce is saying. I have an Orinoco Gold card and it's always worked flawlessly.
