someone help a newbie!

:( some one help me...i managed to setup a dual boot knoppix with winxp on the first attempt...just thought everzthing was smooth.

created a new user and logged back in...and viola all i see is german!

i dont know german...how to get rid of this_ :

Had this happen once. Rebooted the system and it went back to the way it was supposed to be.
But that probably didnt fix your problem.

Try going to the www.Lindows.com guest forum and ask someone there if they know how to fix it. There are some pretty smart cookies there. And no question seriously asked is a stuppid question.

edit /etc/lilo.conf, add 'lang=us' at append field like this

append="ramdisk_size=100000 init=/etc/init lang=us apm=power-off hda=scsi hdb=scsi hdc=scsi hdd=scsi hde=scsi hdf=scsi hdg=scsi hdh=scsi nomce quiet dma vsync=60"

then re-run lilo

got a quick answer go in the English side go thru the control panel remeber what you clicked on then flip to German and reset the deaults to English hey it works thats how I got mine all users including user knoppix set to english :D
