hi to all...

iam remastering knoppix for live cd and i have little problem. i wanna but i cant remove Trash and device icons from my desktop. i tryed remove all in /etc/skel/Desktop, comment some lines in /etc/skel/.kde/share/conf etc.
also i tryed delete those icons on desktop after booting knoopix and then save my configurations and moved to /cdrom/KNOOPIX and nothing. what ever i do those icons shows on my desktop. how can i remove them?...is it possible? window manager is KDE.

Hi dr_zlo,

KDE desktop in under control of dcop.
Many function calls can be made by the user
to do things to the KDE desktop.

There is probably even a way to kill the trash can.

To see all these function calls just open a console
and type kdcop for the gui form of dcop. Expand the
+ dkesktop and + DKesktopIface

These functions can be executed from you own
bash script.
