MY Sound Card is recognized by the SoundConfig as a SBLive! Value, but it says it is not supported? What should i do?

Did you run: sndconfig
from a terminal?

yes i did, it just seems to say the card is recognized, but after that it says it isnt supported, it says its running from Xwindows, and tells me that isnt recommended.Also ALSA recognizes it too, but says Driver Unknown

Do you have a Dell computer if so they have changed the firmware on the card and it is not compatible with the real SB driver, if this is the case I do remember there being a driver somewhere perhaps a google search will come up with it if not can you post the output of lspci -v from a console window. And can you post the output of the messages you get.
