Im looking to set up a PC with no HD, two NIC's and a cdrom drive as a router for my home network... would anyone have a clue as to where to start with this?

I know theres a linux router project which uses just a floppy to do routing but useing knoppix would be sweet.

any help would kick ass.

You might want to have a look at RXlinux
http://fusionw3.com/onx/html/rxlinux.html
Just answer some questions online and it builds a custom server iso to download.
If you run windows you can also download RxWin :-
Rxwin is a ms-windows GUI that contain everything you need to build your own custom rxlinux cdroms

I'd rather revert to pure floppy solution for a simple router; check the LEAF project: http://leaf.sourceforge.net/
You can also have a bootable cd (boots quicker).
