Running mini Knoppix entirely in ram

I'd like to remaster knoppix to a total minimum of applications and install some special software.
The remastered knoppix should then load entirely into ram and not use the cd-drive any more.

Has anyone done this? How can I do this?

Base it on Damn small linux (www.damnsmalllinux.org)
It's incredibly small with only 50MBs but you can do almost anything you want there.
