hello,

I installed the knoppix setup in my hard-disk. IT runs fine without any problem. But I am having trouble with the fstab creation.

knoppix-autoconfig adds only hard-disk paritions to my fstab and does not add any of my mountable devices (cdroms and floppy).

I cant find where the problem is help me.

/dev/cdrom /cdrom iso9660 defaults,ro,user,noexec,noauto 0 0
usbdevfs /proc/bus/usb usbdevfs defaults 0 0

There's a sample from my fstab. The usbdevfs of course has nothing to do with cdrom drives but it should be there and is sometimes neglected during the installation for some reason.

It probably does detect them an update /etc/fstab. Check the file and see. It may be the entries are just commented out with a # in front of them.

I deteled everything in fstab and then I ran rebuildfstab but the result was same only hard-disk partitions were found in fstab and the mountable partition were not found in fstab
