i can`t copy files from hd to hd

i started the knoppix from the cd it works perfect , but when i try to copy from my hard drive partition to another portion the hard drive , it says files cannot be copied or folder cannot be created , i don`t know why please help me

if you were asking why i want to copy :o is because in win xp i`m not allowed to acces the folder and i have some inportant files in it

knoppix mounts h-disks read-only, so you or any virus/hacker can't mess with them. you can mount the disks in read/write mode by right-clicking on them on the desktop, and choosing the appropriate setting ("mount read/write" or something like that)
