Bootup Display :-(

Hi

There is prob. a thousand threads similar to mine but when I boot from cd it runs through and it autoconfigures and does all that stuff until the gui should load and then the screen is just blank :-(

I've tried it on a Dell GX270 (Intel display) and it works fine but I think it's my vga card, I've got a ATI Rage fury maxx 64 and debian/redhat pics my screencard up as a pro128 ati chipset....

Is there any workaround to get this fixed, maybe something to force 256 colors/600X800 res on boot or something?

You could try some boot cheat codes:

Some you could try:
knoppix 2 then, at the prompt: startx
expert
failsafe
fb800x600

If nothing works in version 3.3, you could try knoppix version 3.2.
