I have downloaded dome iso's that are about 750Mb...
How can I fit these onto a CD ?!?!?
Is it impossible, do I just have to buy a DVD-burner, or is there another way...

please help if you can!

Thanks

Piers.

they shouldnt be 750 mb, just try it with nero or another burner. the cd's are some 699 mb, so some burners (and some software) do have problems with that, but if its really 750 MB (remember 1 mb = 1024 kb (not 1000), 1 kb = 1024 b so explorer will say more than 700,000,000 BYTES) you have the wrong iso.

I believe that the ISO I downloaded said about that as well, I just used Nero to burn an ISO as normal and it worked.

Try right clicking the iso and properties and see how big it is there.

If you've got a WIndows partition (preferrably *NOT* NTFS), use a tool like DAEMONTools to copy the CD's \KNOPPIX directory to that Windows partition. The result should be C:\KNOPPIX (where C is whatever drive you choose to use).

Now, use the boot.img file in that directory to make a boot floppy (rawrite/rawritewin) or CD (Nero, Roxio can make boot CDs).

Boot your system with the floppy/CD and it should automagically find the \KNOPPIX directory you extracted from the ISO.
