Hi;
and before the flames starts yes i read the tips page.
and tried knoppix screen=1024x768 didn't work.
I have a nvidia geforce 2 mx400 64 meg pci video card.
Could that be the problem???

Also isn't there a way to restart xwith out closing the darn thing???
I remember ctrl+alt+bkspace in mandrake but thats all and it shutts it down.
I'm asemi newbee with linux but have used it a bit and even ended up messing up a update to xfree 86 in mandrake by compiling my own xfree server(oooh bad news that was)
Also can you make a web server from a rebuild of the cd iso???
Would like to try it on a 166 with 32meg running small xwindow manager and php nuke etc.

I have the same card as you and don't have any problems, I use the screen=1280x1024 option.

To restart X, press CTRL+ALT+F2 to open a terminal, then type:

init 3; init 5

That should work.

To start the webserver, type

/etc/init.d/apache start

and you also might want to do:

/etc/init.d/mysql start

if you plan on running phpnuke.
