Hello everyone,

I know it's not directly a Knoppix problem, but i'm unable to install lm_sensors on my knoppix hdd install. I try to monitor my kg7-raid motherboard...

My problem is that i can't "modprobe i2c-isa" or "modprobe via686a". Because "modprobe: Can't locate module..."

Can someone help me ???

thanks a lot, and "bravo pour cette merveilleuse distrib..."

DOWNLOAD: http://delvare.nerim.net/i2c/linux-2.4.22/linux-2.4.22-i2c-2.8.2.patch.gz
REF:http://delvare.nerim.net/i2c/<-- Might have to go to this page to Download

REBUILD KERNEL:
REF:http://www.knoppix.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4639
Use linux-2.4.22.tar.gz !!!
Apply the patch!
Build the Kernel...

apt-get install i2c-source lm-sensors lm-sensors-source libsensors-dev

Look in /usr/src Directory, there will be an lm-sensors package, install it.

apt-get -t unstable install ksensors
apt-get install hddtemp

Run ksensors, an GUI for Temp Sensors.

Now you will have the modules!
