saving files?

i boot from knoppix and create directories and files from the home directory. is there a way to save these so that the next time i boot from the knoppix cd, those files and directories are still there?

This is for Knoppix 3.3:

1. Klick the knoppix symbol in the task bar: <configure> <create persistant home directory>. Select the partition to store Your home directory.

2. On every following boot type <knoppix home=scan> at the boot prompt, if You want to use the persistant home directory.
