i/we're trying to brainwash punk rockers into using linux(knoppix)
wondering if people had suggestions on how to attach a bootable knoppix distro to our CD of music.
not sure how much music we are putting on the disk, but i'm guessing maybe
200-300Mb. i will get back with the specific size when we are done recording, just want to start preparing a knoppix distro to go with it.
thanks.

Very funny; I also had that idea a while ago.
You would probably have to use a smaller distribution, since knoppix uses around 799 megs of cd space. Morphix kde (http://morphix.sourceforge.net/) can be found here if you want to try that.
I'm not sure If you can have a bootable audio cd though.

yeah thats why i figured i'd have to remaster, or build my own knoppix distro, i
might just try to cut it down to 3-400 Mb and then add some scripts that automati
cally download the rest or stuff i specify from my servers. actually i mentioned
it to one friend and he says that openbsd does something similar because they inc
lude an audio file with thier distribution. i guess it might be just a matter of
tacking on the music at the end.'m not sure if most modern cd players could skip
the first part infavor of the music after it. i guess i could do another thing an
other band i was in did and just add a second burned CD behind the tray.

You also might was to look at the movix distro too. I think it is about 50 MB and is designed to do the type of thing you are talking about.
