PCMCIA CF Reader/Persistent Home Directory

Just wondering if there is a way to save a persistent home directory to a PCMCIA CF reader...When I try to use the Knoppix utility to save the directory, it tells me it can't find a suitable drive for storage...The process works fine when I connect the card to the machine via a USB card reader, but this is inconvenient for me...

I'm running Knoppix 3.3 (off the CD of course)..

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
