hp deskjet 940c

how can i get my hp deskjet 940c which is connected to my coputer with a parralell cable to work with knoppix?

I know it works 'cause I have a 940c myself! All you got to do is configure it manually; (from the FAQ)
Click on "printer configuration" in the "Knoppix" menu, and use the wizard.
If the setup program complains about cups not running or not being able to connect to cups, open the root console (in the knoppix submenu) and type "cupsd" (without quotes).
