I just downloaded Gnoppix 0.6 Beta 4. My problem ist that I do not get past the first question "Please The Number Of Drive You Would Like To Install Gnoppix On :" when trying to install Gnoppix to the hard disk. What is expected there? A number? A device? Does the hd have to be mounted or not? Thanks in advance for any help.

I've never used Gnoppix do this is an WAG. Typically it is looking for a Linux device type. Something like /dev/hda for the first HD, dev/hdb for the second and so forth.

It wants the number that is beside the drive, unfortunatly it wants to do the whole drive instead of a partition. example:
Please The Number of Drive You Would Like To Install Gnoppix On:
(1) Drive. Size :40GB
the box is here looking for the number 1...
