Installing Gnome from Libranet CD

I'd like to get Gnome into my Knoppix, but I have a slow internet connection. I notice that my Libranet CD archives folder has a bunch of gnome files as ....i386.deb.

Can these files be imported into an installed knoppix 3.3 or are they likely tailored to work only under Libranet??
