View Full Version : home= and config= conflict with Compact Flash disk?

I am running Knoppix on a laptop and trying to use a Compact Flash memory card (mounted as hde1) as a persistent home and for storage of my configuration. It appears that this works if, when I subsequently boot, I use home=/dev/hde1 or config=/dev/hde1, but not both.

If I use both, it appears from the boot messages that the persistent home is mounted, and that the configuration is restored, but once up and running, there is no persistent home. The device can be seen and it has the expected contents, but the linking appears to have either not taken place or to have been undone.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.
