hi!
i've got a problem with my netgear ma101 wireless usb-adapter and knoppix 3.1.
the device is detected as "unkown" in kde's devicemanager but i can't get it run as a network device.
i've searched the web and found out that the adapter is supported by linux but only with the gpl'd atmel wlan driver.

my question: has anybody of the brave geeks on planet earth got it running under knoppix 3.1 or do i need to install the distribution on my hdd?

thx4replies!

The MA101 is based on the atmel chipset (with different radio units). I'm currently working on a Knoppix with atmel support, I hope it will be ready soon.

Which revision of the MA101 do you use? (there's a sign on the underside of your adapter)
