I have Knoppix on my Compaq presario 2100 series laptop, and it has this buit in wireless adapter (Broadcom 54g) It is not recognized in linux, and there isno way to make this work supposedly....I believe that there has to be a way.....if ANYONE has any solutions, please share. OH AND I AM A COMPLETE NOOB @ LINUX!!!)

Your best bet is try one of the various projects attempting to provide a wrapper around the original binary driver.

I think they both require a fair bit of effort though, probably a bit advanced for NOOB.

Other than that you could write a nasty letter to Broadcom letting them know what you think about their policy of excluding Linux.
