When I insert the cd into my PC and reset it, it boots to the knoppix "Boot:" command. I then pass on my "knoppix floppyconfig" cheatcode, and it boots up. but I get an out of range error about 5 seconds after it starts to boot, and I don't get an image back until I am in KDE.... Is there anyway to change the resolution knoppix boots in? (I am using a knoppix 3.1 cd, and am downloading a 3.3 image to see if the new version will help)
Some Advice?

By the way, My monitor's max resolution is 800x600.

Knoppix automatically boots into 1024x768. When you put in the cheatcodes, add in "screen=800x600". That should fix your problem. If not, bug me later.

You may want to try something like fb800x600 xvrefresh=60 noddc at the boot: prompt. You probably only need the xvrefresh=60 to get the refresh rate right eg. knoppix xvrefresh=60 screen=800x600 noddc instead of using the framebuffer with the fb800x600 in the place of the knoppix.

I'm stuck with an 800x600 monitor as well. It turned out that the "Screen=" cheat code made KDE work, but didn't do anything about the four penquins across my screen. After much surfing, I stumbled across a solution... here's my current boot prompt response:
knoppix lang=us screen=800x600 vga=normal
Hopefully that will help. (Yay, I'm finally offering help instead of just begging for it!) :)
