Help MA101b freeze (noob)

well windows killed itself (it tryed to write over its own kernel :shock: ) so took that as a sign to switch 8). i got everything installed and working fine but i have one problem. i installed the drivers (the source forge ones) for my ma101b but when i start up it freezes right after it says

usb.c: regestering new driver usbvnetr
usb vendor/product=864/4102
usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 2, frame# 658
<and then i get a little while block here and it freezes>

any help would be appreciated being as a it has a winmodem (so i cant dial up) and i dont have a E-net card for it so i cant connect to my main computer to access the shared internet

well ive looked around lots of people asking this question few answers it would be nice if someone could stickey this till we have an answer or if we already have one we should add it into the faq (just an idea)
