knx-hdinstall don't work

The normal install method doesn't work and the file system is read-only

can someone please give me a step-by-step tutorial on manually installing knoppix?

1 - run knoppix from your CD;
2 - open konsole
3 - write this on konsole (command line): sudo knoppix-installer

The knx-hdinstall command it's not on the newer version of Knoppix (I think)!

There are dozens of howto's for instaling. It sounds as though you may have done a "knoppix-type install which is essentially the same as booting from cd. Next time choose the "debian-type" install.
