how do i run knoppix after i have installed it to my hd, and logged in. i cant find the command anywhere

What are you trying to do?

If you installed knoppix why do you need to run it?

um...i have installed it and i want to use it. i can get to the shell command thing, after logging in as root, but i cant access the main distro body.

what type of install did you do?
how are you booting? (lilo or grub; cd-rom, floppy, or hdd)

I gather you're trying to get to a desktop - if so try typing 'kdm' at the prompt; if that does not work try 'init 5' then 'kdm'.
