I can't get the live cd to work. The first error I get is:

You passed an undefined mode number.

Then it gives me a list of options if i want to change the video mode.
Then it seems to work, but then the next error I get is:

scsi cdrom error

then a whole bunch of other errors (it goes by too fast)
I think its safe to say it has something to do with the cdrom drive...

The laptop I'm using is a Toshiba 2675DVD (could
that be the problem-- the dvd drive?)
PIII (not sure on speed) 192 MB ram, and so forth.

But I tried booting the cd on my other toshiba satellite 1905, P4 which also has a DVD drive, and it worked fine.

Any suggestions?

You'll probably have to tell Knoppix what resolution to use or what video driver to use. Have a look at the Cheat codes (http://knoppix.net/docs/index.php/CheatCodes)

What video card? Try to give us at least some idea of the errors you're getting when the disc boots. Are they perchance cloop errors?
