this knoppix os wont run on my dell 5150

i treid to load knoppix on to my laptop using the cd to boot from but it just bypasses the cd and goes strait to the windows setup. what could i be doing rong and how should i fix it. thankyou

Press f12 at startup (the Dell screen) to get the alternative boot menu. Then select CD/dvd for 1 time boot.

Also make sure you are at least using knoppix v3.3 2-16-2004 or higher, becuase you will need to use the knoppix cheat code : "knoppix nosmp" to get it to work with your 5150.
