Kernel Panic:.... On boot - newbie

I am using 3.3 uk knoppix cd. It was burned perfectly on k3b and the md5 checksum was correct. When it gets the the init process it has a
"kernel panic: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel"

Is there anywhere i can find more infomation about knoppix and its boot process. I am currently a gentoo user but this knoppix has just blown my simple mind.

Sorry just realised i didnt burn it correctly cos the md5 checksum didnt match. You see i had a complete downloaded one and another incomplete downloaded one in prozilla and i burnt the incomplete one woops.

Biggest knoppix mistake of the year.
