My daughter's Windows XP Home NTFS disk is failing. I would like to
make a bootable image of this disk on a new hard disk. Is this possible
now under Knoppix 3.4? Partimage? "dd?" Any suggestions?

Thanks. :(

Well. I use partimage to create a copy of my NTFS partition using Knoppix 3.3. The creation worked fine, but the restore wasn't so sucessfull. The restoration process was ok, but, when I try to boot from may restored partition, windows wasn't unable to load. But, appears that the data files were ok.

I will try again, but this time i wil use LinuxDefender (http://www.bitdefender.com/bd/site/presscenter.php?menu_id=25&n_id=58) . This is another live cd distro, which presumes to read and write NTFS partitions. I will try to report my results when I'm done
