knoppix is great! but I wanna try another distro that wont take up that many disk space when permanently installed.
1. Im having trouble with slax, its hotplug doesnt seem to work in my laptop. I tried knoppix and it detected most of my hardware. So my question is there a way i can somehow copy the hardware-detection software of knoppix to slax?

I really dont know which packages are responsible, so any help with be great.
2. Knoppix dont come with battery-management software for my laptop. Where do I get that?
I really like slax bec. its small and runs pretty fast. Knoppix is slow for me, and there's just too many apps included and leaving me confused.
