internal messaging system?

Just a question: Is there somewhere a command on the knoppix linux that allows users to send small text messages to other users? Something like 'net send' in windows? I mean, users active on the same box. (remote login via ssh)

Do a search on google for linpopup. It's a gui version of winpopup that we use here and at work.

Note: this program works only on tcp/ip or ipx, as netbeui isn't supported.
