Sorry if this is a simple one, couldn't find it in any FAQ docs.

How do I set up my network adapter and stick an IP address on it?

Also, is there a tutorial in English?

To quote the heading of this section, "If your hardware is not detected, please post a full output of 'lspci -v' and all relevant information about your hardware."

That having been said, what model of network interface card do you have? More information is needed.

As for the English-language tutorial and FAQ, just look around...

If it's PCI and supported--watch the startup screen for eth0 to be recognized-just go to:

K[menu] -> Knoppix [where most of the cool setup stuff resides] -> Network/Internet [this isn't completly obvious at first] -> Network card configuration

If you have DHCP click "yes", if not click "no" have your network information handy.

There are several other places to go to get internet, file sharing, etc. working -I still haven't figured them all out.javascript:emoticon(%27%3Ashock%3A%27)
