Hi all,

I know, if I install Knoppix on the harddisc, it will become a debian system. But anyway, are there any restrictions because of the patches instlalled on the knoppix version of debian? Can I upgrade the system in the same way like a real debian system?

thanks
Martin

Yes, of course. You can change Apt repositories as you do in Debian. I have two installations (this time) - the other one is pure unstable and the other one is testing /unstable.

Do apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade or apt-get update && apt-get upgrade acdording to your will to update (upgrade) your system.

There's still some knoppix packages remaining after hd-install and you can change those to pure Debian packages if you have courage enough :)

See also thread http://www.knoppix.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9788 where m_yates replied me how to remove /replace some knoppix packages.
